Information Sent Through a Form
When a visitor enters a name, phone number, or address into a search form, the submission is handled by the third-party provider that powers that result experience. Banning Residents Directory does not maintain a copy of those searches as a resident database. Messages sent through a contact route contain the information the sender chooses to provide and are used to answer the message.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record ordinary technical data such as an IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page, and timestamps. The purpose is service operation, security, troubleshooting, and aggregate traffic measurement. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where applicable, advertising measurement. Those tools are controlled by their own providers and settings.
How We Use Limited Data
Limited information is used to operate the pages, respond to messages, diagnose errors, understand aggregate readership, and improve the reference. Banning Residents Directory does not sell a visitor list or build a personal profile of an individual visitor from the public records discussed on the site.
External Record Portals
The pages link to Riverside County, City of Banning, California, federal, library, archive, and other external services. Information entered into those services is governed by the receiving service’s notice and privacy practices. Sponsored search tools are also supplied by a third party, so their handling, retention, pricing, and results are outside this policy.
Who May Process Technical Data
Hosting and support providers may process server logs to keep the service running. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical information described above where those tools are enabled. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. It is not disclosed to create a private Banning resident roll.
Security and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection where supported and keeps technical logs only as long as the operating, security, and measurement purposes require. There are no visitor accounts or resident profiles maintained by this reference, so there is no site password database for a visitor to manage.
Children and Teen Visitors
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Banning Residents Directory does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor supplied information through a contact route, the guardian may write through the Contact page so the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
California Privacy Choices
Depending on the person and the applicable coverage, California’s Consumer Privacy Act framework may provide rights to know, access, correct, delete, limit certain sensitive-personal-information uses, and opt out of sale or sharing. The California Privacy Rights Act amendments and Civil Code section 1798.100 and following provide the statutory framework. Since this reference retains very little, a request generally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant technical logs.
Use the Contact page for a request about information held by this service. Public records held by the City of Banning, Riverside County, California agencies, courts, or libraries are not controlled by this reference. Requests concerning those records belong with the custodian under the California Public Records Act, Government Code section 7920.000 and following. The state’s DROP route applies to registered data brokers and does not erase an official deed, assessment, court file, or city document.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will be posted on this page with its updated wording. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the new version to the extent the law permits.
